Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Natural Healing for Youthful Skin

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) uses your body’s own platelets, fibrin, stem cells, and white blood cells to stimulate tissue renewal. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors. This treatment contains about 10 times more healing factors than traditional PRP and stays active for longer, delivering natural, long-lasting results.

PRF is ideal for under-eye rejuvenation, fine lines, and overall skin texture improvement. It can also enhance other aesthetic treatments such as microneedling, Botox, Dysport, or fillers.

What are PRF treatments

PRF is created from your own blood. A small sample is drawn, then processed in a centrifuge to isolate platelets, fibrin, stem cells, and white blood cells. These elements are injected back into the targeted areas to stimulate tissue regeneration and collagen production.

Compared to PRP, PRF has a higher concentration of healing factors, and the fibrin matrix allows the factors to remain active for up to two weeks. This prolonged activity supports more durable results and improved skin quality over time.

BENEFITS & uses

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) treatments use your body’s own platelets, fibrin, stem cells, and white blood cells to naturally rejuvenate and repair the skin. This regenerative therapy stimulates collagen production, enhances tissue renewal, and improves skin texture, tone, and elasticity.

PRF VS PRP Treatment

Both Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) involve your own drawing blood, discarding the parts we don’t need (red blood cells and extra fluid) and keeping the parts we need for treatment (stem cells, platelets, fibrin, white blood cells). These are all our body’s natural healing factors that repair damaged tissues and stimulate renewal. These growth factors are then injected back into the area we’re treating.   These growth factors are then injected into targeted areas to stimulate tissue renewal, repair damage, and promote healthy, youthful skin.

PRF vs. PRP

PRF differs from traditional PRP in both quantity and longevity of healing factors. It contains approximately 10 times more concentrated growth factors than PRP, and the fibrin matrix holds these factors in place so active tissue regeneration continues for up to two weeks, compared to PRP’s roughly eight-hour activity. This makes PRF particularly effective for restoring volume, reducing fine lines, and rejuvenating delicate areas like the under eyes.

PRF can be used in multiple areas, often in conjunction with other treatments such as Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, or microneedling, to maximize results. Most patients see noticeable improvement after a single session, but a series of three treatments spaced one month apart is recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments are generally only needed once every 1–2 years.
