Why This Timing Matters |
What to Expect / Preparation |
|
6–8 weeks out |
• Deep treatments: Sculptra, Radiesse, Thread Lifts • Aggressive chemical peels / Tetra CO₂ CoolPeel • IPL / Laser treatments • Microneedling / Secret RF |
These treatments need time for healing, collagen remodeling, and swelling to subside. |
Book consults early, avoid sun, follow pre-treatment skincare guidance. |
|
4–5 weeks out |
• Fillers for lips / cheeks • Botox / Dysport • Moderate chemical peels • Laser Genesis • Follow-up IPL if needed |
You’ll see optimal results in time for the holidays. Room for touch-ups if needed. |
Use gentle skincare, keep skin hydrated, avoid harsh sun. |
|
2–3 weeks out |
• Light filler touch-ups • Botox if not yet done • Gentle peels, facials • Dermaplaning |
Peak effect time for Botox and fillers. Great window for lighter treatments. |
Avoid aggressive treatments now; focus on glow and hydration. |
|
1 week out |
• Final prep facials • Gentle peels (only if tolerated well) • No new treatments |
Last chance to boost glow without irritation. |
Focus on calm, hydrated skin. Avoid stressors or changes in routine. |
|
3–4 days out |
• Dermaplaning • Hydration masks • LED therapy (if available) |
Just enough time to enhance glow without recovery risk. |
No injectables, no lasers. Protect skin, get good sleep. |

Tips for a Smooth Med Spa Experience
First, talk with a trusted provider before making any treatment plans. They are the best people to give you specific advice on the treatment and recovery time. Here are some additional tips to help you look and feel your best as you prepare for the holidays.
- Book early to get the best treatment plan and timing. Remember other people are trying to get their appointments too!
- Stick to your skincare and avoid anything new right before an event. Don’t switch brands or make drastic changes during this time.
- Hydrate, rest, and protect your skin throughout. This is especially difficult as the weather cools and you feel less thirsty.
- Follow all aftercare instructions (moisturizers, sun avoidance, etc.)
